Rose nodded along and tried to take notes of the details. “Wow. I never knew being rich was this…complicated? I don’t think my mom and dad have ever cared who I dated or didn’t date. As long as the cops didn’t have to bring me home.” She chuckled but stopped when she remembered she should really be telling Parker any of this. She cleared her throat and tightened her hands on his arm just a touch. “I did like them. I miss being around any type of family. It’s sweet how close you all are. I still can’t imagine having so many siblings.”
“They care to a certain point, they don’t want us to… make a mockery of the family name.” Parker raised his voice to mimics his parents. “But well there are seven of us, someones bound to fuck up and right now Thea is beating us all.” He relaxes a bit at her words, alot of people think its weird how close they were. Soo paused in his chewing as he registered the minuscule change in vitals. His pupils shrank and he kept his guard up. Lilo was such a finicky creature. Emotional and sentimental. It was hard to gauge when she was genuinely hurt or just upset. In this case he would guess the latter. “I suggest in a coffee shop or another neutral place. Give him the option to leave if he chooses. Or you could simply text him.” He shoveled another handful of food into his mouth. “You have as much control as you need. You can’t make someone like you but you can chose how you react to it.”
Lilo gritted her teeth. “I’ll text him.” She managed to get out glad that her voice sounded relatively even. She wasn’t sure she could bring herself to tell him in person. Lilo got up careful to keep her back to Soo. She stretched and began her trek to the bathroom to hopefully splash some cold water onto her face and stop the swelling.
